Placement Made: Handler Announces NAPA Director of Engineering & Quality Search
ATLANTA, GA. – June 22, 2022
We are pleased to announce Handler’s launch of a search for Genuine Parts Company’s “US Automotive Group” to hire a Director of Engineering & Quality. Many know this company under its popular “NAPA” brand.
This role plays a key leadership role in managing a high performance team focused on delivering world-class safety, quality, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability results. This role will drive new product introduction while improving yield and quality to meet customer expectations. You will direct the New Product Development through Test engineering, Packaging Engineering, Supply Chain, Marketing, Quality, and Logistics teams to ensure products exceed all standard safety requirements. This includes cost management, Should Cost, and Value Engineering.
The ideal candidate has 7+ years of technical managerial experience with a proven track record of driving incomparable team morale and productivity across high performing teams. We seek a candidate with 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience bringing lean principles expertise in process development, project execution, and capital project management. Finally, the successful candidate will have experience in full-cycle product development in a retail or wholesale distribution environment. Other key skills we seek include:
▪ Deep understanding of leveraging data and analytics
▪ Strong product and cost mindset, practical knowledge of success factors
▪ Solid experience in developing strategy and roadmap
▪ Keen interest in emerging trends research and/or initiatives.
Education Requirement — Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or closely related field required, Master’s in Engineering or Business preferred
