This Really Irks Top Talent
We reported in July that Top Talent are more open than ever to entertaining new opportunities, and the Handler & Associates Top Talent Confidence Index® confirms that and more.
The Index shows that 85% of respondents are open to making a career move. Of those, 59% expect to change companies within 1 to 2 years and 32% within 3 to 5 years. Not only did our survey source the Index and validate our own findings, it shed light on what propels Top Talent toward the exit.
Here’s the biggest take-away: Nothing irks Top Talent more than bureaucracy. It’s as if Top Talent instinctively know that companies mired in time-laden layers of process and approvals simply cannot get things done, let alone innovate.
And let’s face it, innovation is essential in today’s competitive marketplace as the core driver of growth, performance and valuation.
Top Talent are natural innovators, and they thrive on getting things done.
Bureaucracy shrinks our capacity to imagine, create and contribute while an innovation-friendly environment expands it.
Is your company trending towards more bureaucracy or more innovation? The answer likely predicts how well your organization will attract and retain Top Talent in 2017.
